The project

The project.

Teamsun is a privately owned solar and battery installer serving Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

We designed and built an Astro website covering services, state incentives, locations, past installs, a blog and a guided quote form.

What the website needed to solve

  • Homeowners compare installers on trust, so the site had to put local crews and real installs up front.
  • State-by-state incentives needed clear explanations.
  • The quote request had to capture enough detail for an accurate proposal.
Design direction

The design direction.

A calm forest-green palette with cream and amber accents, a serif display face and a dark, photo-led hero.

Key decisions

The decisions that shaped the build.

  • Crews before claims

Crew, install map and recent installs sections make the local team visible.

  • Incentives by state

Dedicated pages for federal and state programs in each market.

  • A guided quote form

Address, utility, bill and interests captured in one structured form.

  • Privacy-aware analytics

    Analytics only after cookie consent.

Development & SEO

Built for performance, not just appearance.

Development

  • Astro with Tailwind CSS, deployed on Cloudflare Workers.
  • FormSubmit with a no-JavaScript fallback.
  • GA4 behind a cookie-consent banner.

SEO foundation

  • Structured data: Service, Offer, BreadcrumbList, FAQPage, WebSite, ItemList and ContactPoint.
  • An XML sitemap generated at build time.
Outcome

The finished experience.

  • A clear, trustworthy site that leads with local crews and real installs.
  • One guided path from any page to a detailed quote request.
